During this Marketing Q&A Jeff answered several questions

03:00✋ How do I mention to investors about my team and appeal to them?
- Investors will ask you who is on your team. And having that team slide and being able to explain who is on your team is important to investors
- One good thing to do (besides posting on LinkedIn) is to occasionally update prospective investors on what’s going on with your startup/business. This includes bringing on new (and interesting) advisors onto your team.
- If you want to appeal/market to someone, “you have to be solving a problem for someone in some way”
- Everyone is either running toward or running away from something
- Jeff shared: Core Desire Worksheet : https://docsend.com/view/hw45e4t4cywxd9ph
13:00 ✋ How do I make an emotional sale?
- Customers make purchasing decisions based off of emotions.
- However you cannot say things such as, “Bringing romance back to technology”
- Romance in technology is exciting to a technology person but not to a fashion company (or whatever industry your avatar is in)
- Better examples of this:.
-
- Do you want to put romance back into how you communicate with your vendors?
- Do you want to put roamnce back into how you communicate in the office?
- People make an emotional connection first and then they validate with facts/figures.
- Think about, how are you emotionally connecting with your prospects?
00:23 ✋ What advice do you have for retargeting campaigns?
- Jeff shared MouseFlow https://us.mouseflow.com/websites
- This allows him to see how an ad on a page is performing. Is the image an issue or is it the copy?
- Also your retargeting needs to be visually consistent (and verbally consistent) throughout.
- When you are looking at your retargeting, if your click through rate is .01%, then it’s time to try something new.
- Google allows you to A/B test your retargeting efforts.
- You can also use Chat GPT to brainstorm and think differently when it comes to copywriting.
- BUT You can’t have it to write your blog posts
