assuming cloud firewall is directly on the internet and not behind NAT?
assuming cloud firewall is static address?

have the onsite sonicwall be the initiator for the vpn, not both sides.

SSL vpn should be fine. IPSEC will get finicky

8 people on the payroll in the USA, 22 people on payroll in the Philippines. Behind those people are families, children, parents, pets, etc that all rely on this income. I need to make sure there is enough money in the bank for each payroll to go out… it is by far my biggest cost.

I don’t agree. I don’t have to master book keeping.. the task of putting every single credit card transaction into quickbooks is the very definition of monotonous. why do I need to master that? I should outsource and supervise.

it’s not either or – its both. I don’t necessarily agree with the speaker that a manager’s job is only efficiency – it is also effectiveness. an executives job is also both.
to answer your specific question in your post, if you are being efficient at the wrong thing then you are not being effective – it highlights my point that you need both.
